"After finishing secondary school, I didn’t really know what I wanted to do (classic situation). My options were either the general or specialised high school diploma in IT. I wasn’t really keen on sitting in a classroom all day, so I opted for the more practical path. Since I’ve always been interested in technology and computers, and the field was considered (and still is) future-oriented and quite secure, I completed my specialised IT/Software Development diploma (2013–2016), focusing mainly on software development. To cover both areas of IT—and admittedly because I was too lazy to go straight to university—I then started my apprenticeship as an IT specialist in system integration here at Schulte (2016–2019). Fast forward: I’m still here—so that makes nine years in total if you count my apprenticeship."
